Case study / Social Security Disability law
From $7.1M to $15M in seven months.
We partnered with Brad Thomas Disability and took it from a $7.1M baseline to $15M in about seven months. Far more cases, none of the strain that usually comes with growing that fast, and it is on track to 4x from here.
The problem
The firm was growing fast, and that was the problem. Every new case brings a wave of work that has nothing to do with practicing law, and it lands on people who are already full. The usual answer is to hire, and keep hiring. That is slow, expensive, and it quietly caps how fast a firm can grow to how fast it can find and train good staff. Brad Thomas Disability was running into that ceiling.
What changed
We took the whole operation off their plate. The work that used to need a person, and used to cap how many cases the firm could take, now runs quietly underneath everything instead of on top of the team.
The mail
Scanned mail used to eat about ten hours of a paralegal's week. Now it just gets handled the moment it lands, and the partner hears about the things that actually matter within seconds.
Intake
New clients get brought on without anyone retyping a thing or dropping a step, so a busier pipeline doesn't mean a slower one.
Client communication
Clients hear from the firm at the right moments without anyone chasing it, and if someone is unhappy the team knows that day instead of at renewal.
The numbers
The figures the firm runs on are current every morning, with nobody stopping to build a report.
The result
Over the seven months we ran this, Brad Thomas Disability's revenue went from about $7.1M to $15M, and it is on track to 4x. Same core team. The firm grew like that because the operation stopped being the thing holding it back. It could say yes to the cases instead of turning them away to protect a staff that was already stretched.
Underneath it, the systems handle close to a dozen employees’ worth of work a month, so all of that growth never turned into a hiring scramble.
Why it holds up
It all runs in the firm’s own accounts, so it belongs to them, not to us. When something genuinely needs a person, it reaches them with the full picture instead of failing quietly. And it is maintained, so it gets sturdier over time instead of brittle.
In their words
“We’ve loved working with Opexcell. They set up a ton of automation for our firm and it’s saved us so much time every month and played a big part in helping us grow. We changed direction on them several times, piled on new projects, cut others short halfway through, and they always just went with the flow. They own their work from start to finish and follow through without needing to be reminded. Couldn’t recommend them more.”
